I thought it would be interesting to look at that in terms of the character himself, rather than in a "Look, gameplay mechanics" way.

It was originally just a one-off birthed of a little comment thread from laylah's journal, whereupon it was decided that it would be pretty damn cool to see Akihiko as a bare-knuckle boxer, a la Mickey from Snatch. And then there was discussion of tattoos, and finally they ended up in a caravan tucked into some little pocket of Edinburgh.
