I'm certain I'm the last one in the world to get on this bus, but I don't usually have "organization tips" for anyone (generally, I steal them from you, prepared and organized flist!), but I just have to say, in case you didn't know, the Gmail Tasks widget (from the Labs tab--little green Erlenmeyer flask at the top right of your Gmail Inbox) is brilliant.
I do love my little fake-ticky (okay, brackets and an 'x') IJ lists, but I doubt anyone is really dying to know that I have managed to put away a basket of laundry and gone to the post office. However, there is something terribly compelling about posting up my to-do lists and therefore making a semi-public display of things I should be doing. Somehow, it makes me think that I should get it done in an actual way, maybe? And I like seeing other people's To-Do lists...so maybe there is an "interest market" for them? Dunno. Maybe I'm just odd.
But the Gmail Tasks widget is a good bit faster, requires no menus (but it does mean I have to keep my Gmail window open), and is easier to edit/change.
But there is no icon (and let's just say that doing things like selecting an icon for a post has become a Significantly Entertaining Thing for me--I won't analyze what that says about my life). And there is no interaction.
Hm. Well. Maybe it's a damn awesome tool if you're not attention- and contact-starved.
Now my goal is to avoid using both of them at the same time (because that's twice the time wasted, and I do that enough).
Segue.
Also, I want to write something. Y'know. For fandom. I have forty-eleven things on the burners. I'll take a poll. I don't know if I'll follow the results, but it might help me to focus a little?
...I'll put the poll in a separate post. I'm afraid I'll bollocks up something and have to redo the whole entry.

Title: A Pound of Flesh
Fandom: Persona 3
Characters: Shinjiro, Akihiko, Mitsuru
Rating: PG
Length: 1011
Warnings: Spoilers for September-ish, Shinjiro's attitude. This isn't a mug-of-cocoa fic.
A/N: Several: 1) This is canon. When was the last time I did that? 2) I've wanted to write this piece for a long time. 3) It's spawned of noticing the fact that almost all of Castor's attacks cost Shinjiro hit points, and even though he was my effing tank, I did have Aki and Mitsuru Dia-bombing him every five minutes because of that. I thought it would be interesting to look at that in terms of the character himself, rather than in a "Look, gameplay mechanics" way.
( It almost feels like old times. )
